Celebrations were the order of the day at a party held for Yash Kotecha, as the commerce student got the second rank in CBSE XII boards on national level, scoring 98.4% marks. Organised by proud parents - Arun and Rashmi Kotecha - the do was attended by family members and close friends. Rajya Sabha member, Ajay Sancheti, who is the uncle of Yash, commented in jocular vein that even if two other members of their family attempt the examination, their marks put together won't add up to Yash's.
When we caught up with Arun, he said, "I couldn't be more proud of my son. He is a bright student, as he did not opt for any tuitions or coaching and relied entirely on self studies. He plans to become a Chartered Accountant, and I'm supporting him wholeheartedly in his decision." The topper looked very happy and was bestowed with congratulations and good wishes throughout the evening.
